Day 1 Cusco - Paucartambo - Atalaya Port - Manu Rainforest Lodge

   Your adventure through the Manu Expedition commences early in the morning, starting from your hotel in Cusco. We transport you in a private vehicle through the Andean grasslands to the expansive Amazon, allowing you to marvel at towering Andean peaks along the journey.

   We first stop at Paucartambo, an Andean town rich in folklore where you can enjoy traditional breakfast while your guide provides insight into local culture and traditions.

   The next stop is the scenic Tres Cruces or Acjano Pass, offering breathtaking views of the Amazon basin from the highest point of the tour. From there, we descend to the Manu Cloud Forest, immersing you in diverse flora and fauna, including orchid farms, native birds, and monkeys.

Day 2 Manu Rainforest Lodge - Rio Negro

   Begin the second day of your Manu Expedition with a customary Amazonian breakfast before leaving the Manu Rainforest Lodge.

   Your journey continues on a ride on the Madre de Dios River, briefly turning towards the Palotoa River. This river journey provides numerous opportunities to witness a variety of species including reptiles and giant armadillos that inhabit this area.

   Moving forward, we navigate from the Palotoa River to the Rio Negro, where we set up a riverside camp. After enjoying a meal, gear up for an intense trek through the jungle, offering a closer encounter with Amazon’s distinct wildlife. As twilight sets in, we retreat to our camp beside the river. A lively campfire and a local dinner await, allowing you to savor the unique flavors of the Amazon under the night sky.

Day 3 Rio Negro - Treehouse INN

   Begin your day with a customary breakfast, then embark on a short ride on the Manu River, transferring to the Palotoa River.

   We'll navigate in our peke peke, aptly named for the unique sound of its motor. Our expedition will lead us into the depths of the Manu Jungle, with our exclusive, family-owned Treehouse INN being the destination for the day.

   The journey from Manu Rainforest Lodge to the Treehouse INN, located deep in the Manu Jungle, offers stunning cloud forest views and chances to observe various mammals and rodents like capybaras. Once we arrive, our team will welcome you warmly, and after check-in, we'll begin a guided exploration of the surrounding regions. Our guide will introduce you to local medicinal plants and native wildlife.

   Post-lunch, a more extended hike will take you deeper into the Manu Jungle, where you'll have the chance to spot a variety of brightly colored birds. As dusk falls, we return to the lodge for dinner, followed by a short night walk to spot nocturnal wildlife. Make sure to carry a flashlight for this unique adventure.

Day 4 Parrot Clay Lick - Manu Jungle Tour - River Tubing - Treehouse Inn

   Your fourth day begins before sunrise with a visit to the Parrot Clay Lick, a natural spectacle and highlight of the Manu National Park. Here, you'll see hundreds of brightly colored parrots congregating to feed on a unique clay rich in detoxifying minerals. After a satisfying observation, we return to the Treehouse INN for breakfast.

   Following breakfast, a hike through the community exposes you to various medicinal plants, with our guide detailing their uses.

Day 6 Manu Rainforest Lodge - Atalaya Port - Paucartambo - Cusco

   Day six initiates with a revitalizing breakfast at the Manu Rainforest Lodge. Thereafter, we embark on our journey back to Atalaya Port, cruising along the river.
